Ashirion Policy

Welcome to the world of Ashirion, known as Ashirion: The Broken Sphere.

The Bosswolf of Ashirion and the Author of the world reserves the right to take administrative action against any character or characters that infringe the rules or show poor conduct on his game. His staff at any time can ask you to step from your character and enter an OOC chat with them to clarify a rule dispute and a personal dispute.

This is a game about make-believe, none of it is real and the actions described herein are not meant to mirror the real world at all. We acknowledge that certain situations can seem real and the actions of players can also seem real. But we will not take action over an IC event unless that event is taken OOC.

The prime spirit of AtBS is fun and the game should be fun for all players and admin alike, we don't like being heavy handed or any kind of spoil sports but we will take direct action if any of the rules of conduct are infringed, and please do not say that you have not read them, for ignorance of a thing does not excuse it.

But first a disclaimer:

Ashirion: The Broken Sphere is an Adult themed and orientated game, scenes within and around the world of Ashirion are often dark and foreboding, may have lewd or sexual content in them and could offend or bother younger players. If you are below the legal age of sexual consent then please refrain from getting your character into a situation that involves intimacy, seduction and sex. The Admin of the game or the owner will not take responsibility or be liable for any problems or mental trauma caused from viewing scenes of gore or violence, being involved in any scenes that could lead to virtual sex. The old addage I am very afraid rings true, by being here and involving yourself in the game, you agree that you are old enough to play. If you are not, then please keep out of the adult roleplaying scenes and enjoy yourself in the higher side of the fantasy environment.

Breaking any of these rules will get you an informal chat with the Admin and/or the Bosswolf of the game, this could result in a temporary ban on your character for RP with the RP flag revoked, a stern warning, or an outright @nuke or @toad of the character with your player being asked to create a new alt. Unforgivable infractions will result in a possible site-ban.

Use of the Services for any activity that violates Local, Provincial, Federal or International law, order or regulation, is a violation of this Policy.

ANY USER WHO DOES NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS SHOULD IMMEDIATELY CANCEL THE SERVICE AND SHOULD DISCONNECT.

Ashirion Staff does not routinely monitor the activity of accounts for violation of this Policy. However, in our efforts to promote good citizenship within the Internet community, we will respond appropriately if we become aware of inappropriate use of the Services.

Ashirion may revise this Acceptable Use Policy without notice by posting a revised version. Accordingly, Ashirion users should consult this document regularly to ensure that their usage conforms to the most recent version. In the event of conflict between any customer agreement and this Policy, the terms of this Policy will govern. Please refer to the customer agreement specific to the service which you are using. The GM, Game Master, Referee, Wizard or Tiny Plot Administrators word is final, if they say 'This is how it shall be' No amount of whining, complaining or bitching will alter this decision. The ruling is final, of course if you feel that the ruling is in dispute you can bring this to the attention of Wolf who will look into the matter himself.

IC means IC, if it happens to you IC and you CONSENTED to it, that means it happened, there's no amount of changing your mind, or asking to retcon (reconsider) the scene. If you didn't consent to it and it was forced on you then you have every right to say, hold up...I don't like this NO. Remember you can say NO. If you do not react to this IC or OOC, you waive the right to dispute the scene/action/pose. The only exceptions are lag, and of course if this is a sexual act forced on another player without their OOC consent. GM's also reserve the right to enter any room at any time if you are IC, (With attendant players on either side player or GM) even if you are in the middle of TS. You have been warned here, so don't complain to us.

Do not force another character into a course of action with a pose or roleplay, you might think that you are the world's greatest lover or the world's most skilled swordsman, but posing that you hit another player's character or posing that you run them through the heart with your sword. Unless they CONSENTED to it, is purely twinkish and considered bad manners. Read the news combat file, ignorance once again is not an excuse. This does not just apply to combat but the actual RP as well, posing that you attempt to kiss the lady is fine, grabbing her and shoving your tongue down her throat with her screaming in orgasmic delight is likely to get you a complaint and a severe talk with Wolf.

React appropriately to the Gameworld at all times, if you see a Dragon or something particularly nasty then RP it out, and react, it might be a harsh reaction like. "Yeah, ok, let's rumble Dragon!" to a RUN like HELL reaction, which is usually the best reaction to adopt with a Dragon *grins*

Keep all Tiny or VR, RP Sex IC and in non-public places, what you do in your own rooms IC (In Character) is none of our concern.

The setting of dark objects to spy and to snoop on players is frowned upon, should we find any dark or non dark listening or snooping devices you will have your character nuked and be removed from the game.

Please respect the other players and the other player's feelings, this might be text, it might be a game but what you say Out of Character and what you do Out of Character can have an impact on another person, anyone caught harassing or hassling another player OOC will indeed be sent to Wolf' office for a severe talking to, and other action could well be taken. You have been warned. This includes racial slurs, hatred, and other events OOC, if you come here to AtBS you abide by the rules and regulations outlined, if something in a scene offends you, you leave the scene area and do not hassle the players there for IC actions. If this is OOC action however you contact the Admin or ask the players to take their OOC to pages. For a start it should be happening. Remember, by coming to an Adult gameworld you are going to experience adult scenes/situations and horrorific events alongside the other stuff, and you've agreed you're of legal age, by doing so you waive the right to be offended by anything ICly, remember ICly and OOCly you can always leave. Do not remain there and bitch from the OOC sidelines. If this happens in a scene I'm involved with, I'll pesonally boot you OOC myself.

Your character is your own intellectual property, but by breaking any of the rules, hassling players or staff OOC, over rooms or channels is going to get you a warning one time, then if this persists, unfortunately we will remove your character from the game. It will be @decompiled, saved and renamed, the @decompiled copy will be emailed to you forthwith and you will be asked to create a new replacement character. If your infraction is severe enough you could just be sitebanned. If you do not wish to follow the procedure you may ask us to do what we wish with your player character. In this case we will recycle it.

Due to several cases of new players wishing to create powerful characters, we have instigated the following. If you as a new player do not work with the Chargen Staff to come up with a compromise, you continue to ask for a character that for a first time, is overpowered and uber twinky, the Staff reserve the right to veto that character before you reach the grid. If this is the case, the following can and will happen.

1) Removal of Description if it is unsuitable.
2) Removal of Background for the same reasons.
3) Reset of Species to one that is normal, aka, Human.

These steps will only be taken if the Staff feel that you as a player, do not wish to work with them, or wish to compromise.

The same goes for any building that you do, all building on AtBS is undertaken by special Builder Characters and as a result players cannot create objects or rooms themselves, we have a special home-maker program that does this for you and we respectfully ask you not to hassle us to make you a castle or any large area for your character. If you want a object or special item created for a RP or Tiny Plot then please contact one of the staff members.

All this said and done we hope that you have a wonderful and enjoyable time on the MU* and immerse yourself in the gameworld, the many plots and stories and create your own RP with the other players, remember that the Admin are not required to provide 24/7 one on one RP with any player, they do this out of the love of the hobby as we all do.
