Victim Characters and No Consent Characters

The NC flag means a player has set themselves as 'non-consent'. This means they are authorising _all_ other players to initiate _any_ scene with them. This means OOC consent does not need to be sought for difficult scenes. But do be aware they can bring the scene to a halt at _any_ point.

Setting yourself non_consent makes a person more approachable, but those who attack the player character set non_consent must also accept the consequences of their actions. Setting yourself non_consent does not mean that you consent to death, but you consent to battle or an attempt of combat role play, as well as other attempts such as thievery, kidnapping, etc.

This helps staff, as well as other player characters, to decide who to bring into their tiny plots. If you are not set non_consent, you will still be involved in fun role play, but you are asking that people page you before even attempting to make a change to your character (such as an attept at combat, but please don't request ooc permission for simple things such as attempts to simply touch your character -ie a hug- or to a greater extent, an attempt to steal his/her valuables). Just because you have yourself non_consent does /not/ mean that everyone will be successful in their attempts, just that they don't have to plan it before hand with you.

What is a Victim? An extremist version of non-consent. A victim, quite simply, is a character that has consented to die, whether it be for a personal TP or a mux wide TP. Or even if you simply wish for a break from your usual role and wish to try something new out for a short while.

With the Victim flag, you agree that your character will only be around for a short while (anywhere from a week for a few months or even longer) and you have hopes of seeing a dramatic, well role played death scene. This does not mean that you have to die upon first attempt on your character's life... if your character has the ability to escape, you can do so, but... if he/she is a gardener who agrees to hunt down the Shadoen, your odds are lowered.

To set yourself Victim - type &victim me=yes and conversely to set yourself non_consent type &noconsent me=yes.

People wanting a list of characters who are set so, should use the +connvic command or the +connvic/all command. This command works for players and staff. Thank you :)
